NYC model Tinamarie is a new mom to Maximus and describes her perfect day in New York.
A few words that best describe you.
Deep, inquisitive, flexible.
How long have you been modeling and working with fashion?
I've been modeling since I was a child, 15 years.
How would you describe your personal style?
All over the place.
What’s your go-to color right now?
Black
How did you pick the name for your son?
Years before my fiance and I started dating, he said if he ever had a son he would name him Max. I said, "No way, that's what I want to name my son…". Here we are 8 years later and we have a son named Max.
What do you love most about being a new mom?
Breastfeeding and the kisses and smiles.
As a busy mom on-the-go, what don’t you leave home without?
Cell phone charger and my Levy Backpack diaper bag.
How does the Levy Backpack work for you and your active lifestyle?
I love how easily the Levy Backpack transitions throughout my day: I take it on my walks with Max in the morning as diaper bag, use it as a regular purse when we're out shopping, and to the gym for my workouts. It's perfect for New York since it looks like a regular handbag so I don't need to keep switching between bags while we're out all day.
What are some things we can find in your bag right now?
Honest wipes, pampers, swaddlers, A&D, Ever Earth teether, boogie wipes, saline mist little remedies.
What kind of workouts do you do to stay active?
Pilates has been a game changer for me. It's the only workout I don't hate and it's super close to my house, so when Maximus is napping I am able to sneak away for a little me time.
What’s your go-to family recipe?
Pulled chicken in a slow cooking pot.
What are some of your favorite places to go with Maximus?
Gramercy Park, Union Square Dog Park with our dog Ruby, the Hamptons.
Describe your perfect day in NYC.
Wake up 7am with a happy baby, breastfeed him, take him on a walk in Gramercy park. He naps and I go Pilates, go to lunch with Max and friends, play group, shopping, he gets a bath and breastfeeds and goes to sleep without a fuss. Then mommy and daddy go to a charity event and a later dinner I'm excited just typing this out. What a dream day!
What do you love most about living in New York?
I love having the option of doing anything I want or nothing at all, but the city is going on with or without you.
What’s the best piece of motherhood advice you’ve received?
Trust yourself.
